The Mitchells are plunged into another crisis this week – when Ben is arrested!
A past misdemeanour comes back to haunt Phil’s scared son, and he’s taken into custody. But what historic crime is Ben being accused of, and is he really guilty?
“We all know Ben’s not exactly squeaky clean, yet this comes completely out of the blue,” begins our EastEnders insider. “For the first time in ages, Ben seems pretty stable, so the news that he’s been accused of a crime is a total curveball and poses a serious threat to his future.”
Ironically, the week begins on an upbeat note as Ben organises a surprise birthday party for husband Callum.
However, that’s only because he hasn’t initially bothered to arrange anything until Jay, Lexi and Phil tell him that he ought to pull his finger out!
Having thought his other half had forgotten his birthday, Callum is touched when he sees the effort Ben has – eventually – made. However, the love-in is rudely interrupted when some of Cal’s colleagues from the nick burst in and arrest Ben…
