Yolande is unsettled this week when Pastor Clayton makes a pass at her – then totally denies it!
The horrid holy man ends up turning on his parishioner and making her feel as if she’s the one in the wrong. Can Yolande prove that the pastor was being inappropriate?
“The church is such an important part of Yolande’s life,” begins our EastEnders insider. “Lately, though, it’s been tarnished due to the rumours among the congregation that there’s more to Yolande’s closeness with Pastor Gideon Clayton than just friendship. Yolande wants to stop the gossip, but her church rival Agatha keeps spreading scandalous lies and making everyone think that something untoward is going on!”
Yolande is already having a bad day, having clashed with stroppy Denzel again, when she has another run-in with Agatha. Pastor Clayton comforts upset Yolande, and Denzel makes up for his earlier antics by arranging a welcome video call with absent Patrick. All this cheers Yolande up a treat, and she even manages to clear the air with Agatha, which she hopes will put an end to all the wicked whispers. As Yolande suggests to Gideon the church sets up a food truck for the needy, she’s pleased when he gives it the green light and seems thrilled at her charitable idea.
