EVIL DOG-NAPPERS THREATEN TO KILL FREDDIE – UNLESS ROY ADMITS TO MURDER…
Life in prison takes a horrifying turn for Roy this week, when cruel dog-nappers snatch poor Freddie and threaten to hurt him.
They’ll give him back – but only if the café-owner admits to Lauren’s murder!
When the twisted trolls post a video with their demands, will Roy be forced to make a false confession to save his pooch?
“It seems as if nothing could make Roy’s miserable life worse right now – then Freddie is taken!” cries our Weatherfield insider. “But dealing with online trolls feels impossible to Roy. They’re convinced he’s a killer, and if they can’t have justice, they want revenge…”
As the week begins, Sam arrives at the café to collect Freddie for walkies before school. However, Sam doesn’t know that he’s being watched closely by someone – one of the internet trolls convinced Roy is a murderer.
Later, Sam returns in tears, devastated because Freddie ran off! Evelyn agrees to mind the café while Nina and Toyah head off and search for the mutt, though sadly, there’s no sightings of missing Freddie – until an alarming post pops up online…
Nina, Asha and Evelyn watch a video posted by one of the amateur sleuths who’s obsessed with Lauren’s case. The shocking footage reveals this person has taken Freddie hostage – and they want a confession from Roy in exchange for the pup’s safe return!
The next day, as his loved ones determine what to do next, oblivious Roy calls home to wish Nina a happy birthday. She assures him that everything is fine and pretends Freddie is there with her.
As Evelyn calls by with ‘Missing’ posters, Nina tries to raise Roy’s spirits by telling him that Dee-Dee is doing all she can to secure his release. However, Dee-Dee’s bail application relies on Bobby’s fake witness statement…
“Roy gets his hopes up that he may be released soon, thanks to this new evidence,” shares our sneak.
