CAN FREDDIE HELP HER ESCAPE?
Grace Black is back this week, with a cunning plot to break out of jail! The gangster was banged up last summer after a robbery went wrong, letting her accomplices Cindy and Zara walk free while she took the blame. Now she wants to escape, with the help of her old friend Freddie Roscoe. Hollyoaks returnee Tamara Wall fills us in on Grace’s plan, which involves a secret from the past – as well as some unfinished business…
Hi, Tamara! How does it feel to be back?
After about an hour on my first day it was like I’d never left! I think I had about 100 hugs from people telling me how much they’d missed me, I felt so loved. It’s been brilliant.
How has Grace been coping in prison?
She’s doing what she always does while she’s been inside, making the best of what she has – but at the same time she’s plotting how to get herself out of there! Grace is paying off the guards so that she has a nice cell as well as her very own private visiting room.
Does Grace regret taking the rap for Cindy?
Yes. She did it to help Cindy save the market, which Cindy sold anyway! If Grace sees Cindy again, I don’t think she’s going to be a happy bunny…
Were you shocked that she was in cahoots with Freddie?
My jaw dropped! Charlie [Clapham, aka Freddie] and I have been mates for years now, so it was nice for both of us to come back and work with a familiar face.
What can you tell us about Grace and Freddie’s plan?
Grace’s dad, Fraser, left a stash of money for Grace in an emergency. He left a secret code in a letter that Freddie found which was sent to his mum Sandy, who was married to Fraser. Freddie has been visiting Grace in prison to help her crack her dad’s code, so they’re trying to work out this treasure map to find the money. But Freddie’s not the cleverest, which is frustrating for Grace!
