STEVIE TRIES TO MAKE AMENDS, BUT WILL HIS SON FORGIVE THE PAST?
Billy’s stunned this week, when an unexpected visitor walks into the Vic – his estranged father Stevie!
His distant dad turns on the charm, but can he repair the years of neglect – or will Billy show him the door?
“Stevie is the last person Billy wanted, or expected, to see!” declares our Walford spy. “Don’t forget, Stevie put Billy into a children’s home where they beat him black and blue. Billy reckons no apologies can change their history…”
Stevie’s arrival on the Square couldn’t come at a worse time for Billy. Just as he’s giving Honey her new engagement ring, Stevie saunters into the Vic, ruining what should have been their family celebration.
Phil and Billy make it clear Stevie isn’t welcome, but that doesn’t stop him from trying to put on a nice guy act to win over the rest of the Mitchells.
Unfortunately for shady Stevie, Phil doesn’t buy his routine for one minute, and Billy makes a sharp exit feeling overwhelmed by the situation.
Later on, Honey comforts Billy and suggests he speak to his dad and put the past to rest.
At No 18, father and son sit down and rake over their issues. They talk frankly about Billy’s grim childhood, but their chat is quickly derailed when Jamie’s name is mentioned – and soon Billy is ordering Stevie to get out of his life for good!
After Stevie receives more encouragement from Honey to try harder, he knocks at his son’s door hoping for another chance. Billy is furious to see his dad again and tells him to leave. Despite Lexi and Honey’s pleas that he should give Stevie time to say his piece, Billy’s certain he doesn’t want anything to do with his dad.
