George’s family are at their wits’ end this week, as he insists that he’s going to continue underground boxing, despite being warned by doctors that one punch has the potential to kill him.

Desperate, Anna makes a last-ditch attempt to stop her dad from getting in the ring – and George is left reeling when he is unexpectedly faced with his son, Junior!

“George is stopped in his tracks – he hasn’t seen Junior for years, so this is the last thing he’s expecting,” says our Walford insider. “George does call off the fight, but there’s a battle still to come if father and son are ever going to repair their deeply fractured relationship.”

Junior’s arrival comes just as George’s family is starting to fall apart. Wrapped up in his trauma over the revelations about his true background and his grief over his mum’s death, George has been neglecting his fiancé Elaine, leaving her out in the cold. Meanwhile, his daughters are terrified following George’s diagnosis that he is suffering from a brain condition caused by blows to the head during his boxing career, meaning that one punch could now be fatal.

However, the arrival of Junior may only bring more grief, as not long after arriving at the Vic, he departs again, finding the family reunion uncomfortable to deal with.
