Peter lends Lauren a much-needed shoulder to cry on this week – after Cindy tears his ex apart with a slew of spiteful comments!
Even though Lauren’s reputation is already in tatters, Cindy is keen to rub salt into the wound when the humiliated mum-of-one turns up at Beale’s Eels.
In the middle of the pie and mash shop, the feisty businesswoman serves up her innermost thoughts on the latest Branning betrayal to hit Walford. But how will Peter react when he notices that his mum has it in for his childhood sweetheart?
“We know that Cindy isn’t one to mince her words!” remarks our Walford insider. “It’s a tad ironic considering her own track record with men, but she refuses to hold back and fires some nasty comments towards Lauren. But what happens next isn’t quite what she was hoping for, as Peter steps up and tries to support his ex!”
Later in the week, Lauren is thankful that Peter is willing to have her back no matter what, and she agrees to spend an evening with him. But Cindy is less than impressed when she discovers that Lauren is knocking about her family home, and she comes out with another set of hostile comments that push Peter’s patience over the edge…
