Devious Tom hatches a dastardly new plan to stay on top this week, after fearing Belle is going to tell Lydia, and the rest of the village, that he’s an evil abuser!
“Alarm bells are ringing when Tom discovers Belle is planning on having a private word with Lydia,” shares our Emmerdale insider. “He knows his shameful secret is at risk of being exposed and there’s no way he can allow that to happen. Tom is an incredibly dangerous individual, and never more so than when he feels backed into a corner.”
Tom’s monstrous actions towards his wife have ramped up in recent weeks, with the vet now attempting to control every aspect of Belle’s life and subjecting her to terrible mental and physical torture. Having agreed to get help for his anger issues from Dr Liam, Tom actually informed the GP that Belle was the one with the explosive temper and made out he was the victim!
In a further devious move, Tom purposely engineered it so that Belle was forced to miss out on the family picnic to commemorate her late mum, Lisa. With Belle on the brink, Tom then deliberately provoked her into lashing out at him in public, adding weight to his claims of being a battered husband.
