I cheered when we discovered it was Ruby who ran over Ethan in Emmerdale! She’s finally becoming a proper soap baddie. After all the potential when she arrived, I worried she was going soft. I’m glad the producers slammed the brakes on that idea… unlike Ruby!

Corrie’s Gary should have saved the £10k from the factory sale to pay for Liam’s private therapy. But instead, he’s spent all of it to stop Sarah being blackmailed and threatened by Nathan! Maria will be shot of him when she finds out. That money could have been so useful for her son’s help.

SLATERS ASSEMBLE

I can’t tell you how happy I am to see Big Mo and Freddie back in EastEnders. It’s great to have the Slaters rebuilt again and it feels like Big Mo never left, the way she was cracking onto Stevie at the first opportunity. But I loved Freddie and Bobby’s friendship – I’ll be gutted if Anna comes between them.

I loved Emmerdale’s 1,000th episode. It was full of light-hearted community stuff, making it feel like a real village. Seeing the fête made me realise how little soaps have local events unless it’s to blow them up. Bring back county shows, pantos and pancake races!
