Rhona & Marlon – is it all over?

THE COUPLE APPEAR TO BE HEADING FOR THE DIVORCE COURTS…
Rhona fears her marriage to Marlon is over this week, as he takes some time away from the village to consider their future.
The chef’s frustrations with his wife boil over after he thinks Rhona has arranged a christening for Ivy without consulting him first. Sick and tired of feeling as though his opinion doesn’t count, Marlon heads off on a camping trip with Paddy – and tells his best mate that he’s seriously considering filing for divorce…
“This could be the end of the road for Marlon and Rhona,” admits our Emmerdale insider. “They’ve been through so much together over the past few years, but it feels as if the trust between them has gone.”
The once-solid couple have been struggling to get their relationship back on track since Rhona made a damning statement in court against her ex-husband Gus, something which Marlon had no prior warning about. They came very close to splitting after Rhona vowed to dump Marlon during Belle and Tom’s disastrous dinner party, and marriage counselling has only highlighted the fact they’re on completely different pages.
Rhona is fed up with saying sorry and just wants to move on – but Marlon’s constant dredging up of the past isn’t allowing them to.
Things come to a head when Charles pops by Smity Cottage and sparks a discussion about a potential christening for Ivy. Marlon arrives in the middle of the chat and wrongly assumes Rhona has made yet another major decision behind his back. She tries to explain it was all Charles’ idea – but Marlon refuses to listen.
