AND DENZEL HAS A LOT OF EXPLAINING TO DO…
Kim and Howie return to the Square this week – and discover Denzel has been running riot in their absence!
The couple are greeted by a scene of total mayhem as the teen’s latest house party at No.20 spirals out of control – and it would be fair to say they’re not amused…
“This isn’t the homecoming Kim and Howie were hoping for,” declares our Walford insider. “The place is crawling with drunken strangers and there’s no sign of Yolande and Patrick, who were supposed to be looking after Denzel. Everyone has a lot of explaining to do.”
It’s been almost six months since Kim and Howie departed Walford for a stint working on a cruise ship. And while they’ve been busy sailing the high seas, fitness fanatic Denzel has been heading down a dangerous path of steroid abuse, which has recently led to the breakdown of his relationship with girlfriend Amy.
As the week begins, Denzel wants to carry on enjoying his free house. He and Nugget invite a few of their gym buddies back to Denzel’s for drinks, but things get out of hand when Kim and Howie end up busting the party!
Annoyed by Denzel’s lack of respect for their home, and concerned about the kind of company he seems to be keeping, the pair confront the lad about his antics.
“Surprisingly, Chelsea comes to Denzel’s rescue and covers for him about the house party,” shares our sneak. “The family then head to the Vic together to toast Howie and Kim’s return, but Chelsea grows suspicious of Denzel’s behaviour when he leaves the gathering.”
While Chelsea tries to get to the bottom of what’s going on, Howie is having a hard time reconnecting with his son. With their once-solid relationship under strain, Howie makes an awkward blunder when he interrupts a cosy moment between Denzel and fitness influencer, Ebony. Annoyed with his dad for cramping his style, Denzel storms off, leaving Howie fearing they’re drifting even further apart.
In the midst of all the drama, Patrick and Yolande arrive back and get an earful from Kim for abandoning Denzel!
