DIDDY DIARY

I made this granny square with a 1mm hook and embroidery thread for my embroidery journal to show when I first started a scrap blanket I’m working on. I stitch an icon every day to represent something that happened that day. I also knitted a square with embroidery thread on toothpicks!

LITTLE ROBIN

I’ve done a few micro crochet projects but I think this one was my favourite. I made it from Gütermann’s top stitching thread and a 1mm hook with jewellery wire for the legs. It was pretty fiddly to make the first round, but it got easier from there onwards and I do love a challenge!

TINY TED

This teeny bear is one of the cute characters from 20 to Make: Tiny Toys to Knit by Sachiyo Ishii. I had been asked to make one by my local yarn shop, then I fell in love and had to make myself one!

And then I made another for a lovely lady who had lost her favourite toy when she was five. Her face when she received the little cuddly, who she called Charlie, was just wonderful!

A while ago I made a bunny for my son’s friend for Easter as she can’t eat chocolate. She and her mum were delighted and asked if I could make a bride and groom for their upcoming wedding. It took me a while to create the clothes with lots of trial and error as I didn’t have a pattern and I’ve never done anything like it before. I’m so happy with the end result!
