THE DESIGNERS

THE PROPERTY

The 300sq m, 23rd-floor flat in the iconic Bosco Verticale building has an open-plan living room and dining area, a kitchen, three bedrooms and three bathrooms, plus three terraces.

The view from up here is breathtaking, and the terraces, always lush due to the efforts of the acrobatic gardeners, add to the charm,’ say the owners of this 23rd-f loor f lat in the iconic Milanese Bosco Verticale apartment block.

Acouple of globetrotters with Italian roots, who divide their time bet ween Miami and Europe, they had long harboured a dream of owning a base in Milan, partly down to its appeal as a renow ned fashion and design capital. ‘We truly appreciate this city, the architecture, the people,’ they say. ‘And from Milan, we can easily reach the Dolomites, which we love.’

Their apartment is situated in the taller of the two tower blocks that make up the Bosco development, which means that on clear days they can spot the Alps on the horizon. Closer to home, one side of the building offers views over Piazza Gae Aulenti, while on the other, the Isola district unfolds – so it’s perhaps not surprising this is now one of the most popular areas in Milan.

While the exterior of the green skyscraper remains an architectural marvel, the interior of the f lat lacked character. Eager to infuse personalit y into their home, the couple sought assistance from apractice capable of tuning into their desires and busy schedules.
