Quickbuild ideas

Building is one of the most fun parts of Minecraft – but coming up with ideas? That’s always tricky. That’s why we’re giving you the insight on some quick, fun builds we made, which you can use, modify and improve however you like!

CLUBHOUSE BUILD

Make a clubhouse for your friends!

Want to give you and your friends somewhere cool to hang out while you’re playing in your world? Then you need to build a secret clubhouse. These builds should be a single large-ish room that can hold several people while indicating just how special they are. Make sure to place them somewhere that only a few people can find!

Here are some of the things you might want to include:

Some banners to indicate that it’s a secret area; Important or valuable items on the wall; Places to sit and chat with friends; A secret entrance. It’s a good idea to put your build somewhere hidden, like the inside of a mountain or submerged under water. The clubhouse we built can’t be seen from the outside unless you know what to look for!

Think about having some cool features that make it a special place to visit. Ours is partially submerged in water so that people who visit can watch the fish swim around outside without leaving their chairs. It’s the kind of view you can’t get anywhere else in Minecraft!

Finally, make sure you build out of a material that screams class. In our case, polished andesite was the one we specifically chose, but anything along those lines should do!

DETAIL IDEAS

Combining panes of glass with lava source blocks to create bright, interesting lava lamps is something you have to be careful doing, but if you get it right the effect is fantastic – the panes stop the lava spilling out while being sleek and elegant – unlike glass blocks!

Recessing features into the wall gives the clubhouse a clean and custom-built look – it makes it seem like the room was designed for the stuff inside it. Think about how you can make the same true of your own clubhouse room.

Note that the item frames have the blocks arranged so that their colours seem to progress through the colours of the rainbow. Details like this are what makes it nice to look at, and you can do similar whether you’re putting up paintings, framing blocks, maps or tools, or displaying plants. Take care arranging what you decorate with!
