Sealine has always been known for spacious, family-friendly designs and the S390 is no exception. It may be a 40ft sportscruiser with the option of powerful 380hp Volvo D6 sterndrive engines and a top speed of up to 34 knots, but that doesn’t feel like its top priority when you step on board.
The first thing that strikes you is just how spacious the cockpit feels. By placing the hard top supports as far back and wide as they can go, and sacrificing a tender garage and fixed sunpad in favour of a convertible aft dinette, the cockpit stretches all the way back to the transom and across the full beam of the boat. A narrow table amplifies the effect, leaving masses of room in front of it for freestanding chairs and two outdoor galley stations with either gas or electric cooking facilities, a sink, fridge and plenty of storage. The reason they’ve gone so large on this is that if you mainly plan to use it as a day boat, you can opt to replace the inside galley with either an extended owner’s cabin or a utility space for water toys.
