Only once we actually set foot on board the new 100 Yacht did we truly appreciate how different it is. The defining feature is the way the already large flybridge links seamlessly to the foredeck with the aid of wide, walkaround decks that slope gently downwards on either side of the raised pilothouse. The result is a vast single-level outdoor entertaining space that runs from bow to stern and includes everything from an infinity pool to a bar, dining table and multiple sun loungers and seating zones. Our favourite spots were the two cosy corner seats tucked under the windscreen where you’d normally find an outside helm position (it is still an option if you want one) and the forward sun loungers with electric headrests and refrigerated drinks drawers just a step away.

The other big eye-opener is the main deck owner’s cabin with a sliding glass door out to a private mini deck at the forepeak.
