Bavaria is on a roll with its classy new SR range and having scored considerable success B with both its SR46 and SR36 models, it has now extended the range down to this new SR33. The danger with going smaller is that it can end up looking top-heavy and feeling rather cramped, so it was great to see that in the flesh it doesn’t look or feel that way. The height of the topsides not only creates plenty of headroom down below but also helps balance the visual impact of the hardtop.
The good news continues on board with the option of either an aft-facing dinette on the bathing platform that converts to a sunbed or a fixed sunpad/storage locker for watertoys. A flip-over backrest allows the forward part of this to link up with the main cockpit table to create a remarkably large seating/dining area for a craft of this size. Served by a teaktopped wet bar with a two-ring gas or induction hob, fridge and sink, it makes for a very sociable cruising experience.
The helm itself is particularly classy, with an integrated glass bridge dashboard featuring twin Simrad screens and a smart leather wheel.
