Having tested the Prestige M48, we know exactly what the brand’s new power cat line is H all about. It’s designed quite simply as a home-away-fromhome that enables you to feel good and live well. On the M48, that means lots of volume and outdoor deck spaces, alongside a set of cabins that makes full and unapologetic use of the zone beneath the central deck. And as you might expect, the new M-line flagship keeps those same principles very much intact.

It uses a walkaround main deck with large external seating sections fore and aft, plus a central saloon that remains wide open to maximise the sense of space. You can have the galley up or down but, given the natural scale of the saloon’s social zones, the galley-up layout looks like the stronger arrangement for most applications.

It includes a wraparound galley on the starboard side of the forward saloon, separated from the port dining table by a one-person helm station. It might seem more natural to position the galley aft, improving the view from the helm and taking it closer to the stern and upper decks.
