When you see Sirena’s new 48 in the flesh, it’s clear that it inherits the same underlying concepts W as its larger siblings.

Like the 88, 78, 68 and 58, it takes the open decks, big volumes and user-friendly ergonomics of a trawler-style platform and delivers them all in a package that feels at once muscular but chic.

If stylish all-weather practicality is your thing, this really is quite a cool-looking boat.

While external spaces are rarely a highlight on trawler-style yachts, the Sirena 48 again does a really good job.

There’s a covered aft cockpit that integrates reasonably well with the internal aft galley.

There’s a bow sunlounger with a forward-facing bench and plenty of forepeak space for seamanship.

And there’s a full sized flybridge, split in two, with an aft bench and wet bar and a forward dinette and sunlounger, plus a central mast for all-round views and a delightfully inclusive port helm.

But with a big beam, lofty decks and near vertical sides, it’s the internal volume that really impresses.

A simple three-cabin, two-bathroom layout provides plenty of space throughout, with remarkable headroom and huge views, particularly from the owner’s full-beam mid cabin.

And that trick is ably repeated in the main deck saloon, where the port dinette takes full advantage of all that steep pilothouse glazing.
