Outer Reef has built its reputation on long-range offshore motoryachts and as the largest O of the S-Class line, the new 670 brings plenty of the same.

Heavily built on a proven semidisplacement hull, it adopts quite a classical trawler-style design with a steep superstructure, sheltered side decks and a large full-beam fly deck. But unlike many examples of its type, it also prioritises external recreation.

For instance, on the main deck, the aft section of the saloon is swallowed up by an enormous galley with a drop-down window and a slideout bar for easy interaction with the external aft cockpit. There’s also a secondary alfresco section slightly further aft, which provides a secure place to sit with an extendable overhead sunshade and a good view of the hydraulic swim platform. And up at the bow, the “Serenity Foredeck Lounge” also provides a very attractive outdoor party space, thanks to a long U-shaped dinette that looks easily big enough for ten.

Back inside, at the raised forward part of the saloon, a single skipper’s chair and a comfy copilot bench back onto a set of relaxed settees. There’s easy access to the side decks courtesy of doors on both sides, as well as side gates both here and further aft. And there’s also an internal staircase between the lower and upper helms to supplement the aft ladder access.
