Twin steps and ‘shark gill’ detailing add lovely potency to the package

This is the first boat from a new brand created by the Wiszniewski family – and as the people behind the Ślepsk shipyard in Poland, they know what they’re doing. After 35 years in business, they are one of the largest and best-regarded builders in Europe, employing 1,400 people and manufacturing more than 3,000 boats per year for a range of award-winning names, including Sea Ray, Axopar, XO and Yamarin. Small wonder then that when you step on board, the quality of this unashamedly premium walkaround day boat feels so impressive.

The W43 is very much a boat that invites you to prioritise yourself

Created in close collaboration with J&J Design, it uses triple 300hp outboards and a finely tapered twin-stepped hull in pursuit of efficient but soft-riding 40-knot performance. Interestingly though, the outboards are framed entirely by the deck, enabling the W43 to incorporate a full-beam Opacmare swim platform that can be raised to pontoon level or lowered into the water aft of the motors. And that independence of thought is equally evident when you step into the cockpit. A subtly sunken C-shaped dinette opposite an aft-facing bench creates a secure ten-man dining station beneath the shade of the hardtop.
