It’s World Care Day on February 16, celebrating children who grow up in care. Our care system is so important here in the UK, as many young people must switch from caseworker to caseworker at a pivotal time in their lives. It can be a lot to process while having peers living with traditional families, so it’s our collective responsibility to make them feel loved and supported. We’re encouraged to support global care charity Become www.becomecharity. org.uk with a bake sale, a workshop or any kind of event!

Jane Seymour a very happy 73rd birthday on February 15! Jane, who was born in Middlesex and got her big break in 1973’s Live And Let Die as Bond girl Solitaire, was made an OBE in 2000. Previously she won an Emmy Award and two Golden Globes, one of which was for the well-loved TV series Dr Quinn Medicine Woman. Her real name is Joyce Penelope Wilhelmina Frankenberg, and she did in fact choose her stage name after the former Queen of England and third wife of Henry VIII. We hope she has a lovely birthday!
