Remember the three Back to The Future films? Action-packed with a legendary theme tune, this is a franchise that still feels fresh.

The first film (1980) depicts charming Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) and his mad scientist sidekick, Emmett “Doc” Brown, as Marty is accidentally sent back 30 years in a time-travelling DeLorean built by Doc as an experiment.

Once in the 1950s, Marty must ensure his parents, who are in high school, get together so that he is eventually born. While a BTTF 4 trailer has proved to be a fake, Fox made a heartwarming appearance at the 2024 BAFTA awards show.

Diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease aged 29, he’s now 62 and received a standing ovation for his emotional arrival onstage and presenting the award for best film.

The Breakfast Club

Misfits or misunderstood?

One of the most memorable films from the Eighties has to be The Breakfast Club. The American coming-of-age masterpiece follows five teenagers through a Saturday detention. Troubled, anxious and emotionally wounded, the students eventually share their individual traumas and why they’ve landed up in detention.
