● My current storyline about bullying is really relatable. I completely empathise with my character – your worst nightmare as a parent is to think your child is being bullied to the point where they are thinking of taking their own life.

● When I read my current scripts, I was in tears. I have a son, Yves, and my daughter, Freya, is the same age as Charlie who plays my screen son Liam. It only takes a millisecond to put myself in that position and think, God, forbid if this was one of my own kids.

● One of the most spontaneous things I’ve done was get my ears pierced a second time. I went shopping with my friend and just decided while I was out. I’m debating having a third one done.

● I’ve had a lot of therapy over the years. I recently took a diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)). I thought it would be useful, to try to help myself.

The night my nanna died I was at home with my mum and dad. We had some heavy china ornaments on the mantlepiece and they suddenly started moving. They’d never done it before or since. My nan had been with my mum when she bought them. I remember her saying, “Bye, Mum”, thinking it was my nanna saying goodbye. It was the strangest thing, but we found it comforting.
