What’s going on? I’m sitting in my office at home in my winter socks, and it’s June!
I always try and console myself with an upside, so . . . The grass is green, and women in hot countries spend more on moisturiser.
Let’s hold on to that.
I loved my time in Crete. I came home with a cookery book so olive oil, lemon and oregano are getting sloshed over everything.
After visiting an olive press I’m urging all my friends to take a daily shot of extra virgin cold pressed olive oil to help lower inflammation. I’ve been using it and I ache less.
For my next trip I’m joining my friend, comedian Darren Harriott, on ITV’s Celebrity Antiques Road Trip.
We met on the set of Channel 4’s The Real Dirty Dancing, and I can’t think of a better person to spend a few days with, rummaging in antique shops, driving a vintage car and being a teensy bit competitive. It may not be on TV for some months but I will keep you posted.
Surviving A Wedding
Did you enjoy our piece on dressing for a summer wedding? My tips are: touch up make-up; take flat shoes and a wrap; and unless the forecast gives the all clear, an umbrella. I favour the clear birdcage style used by our late Queen. You can carry it low over your hat, see out, and will never clash with your outfit!
