It’s been five years since Dan Osborne issued a public apology to his wife Jacqueline Jossa for his “mistakes” during their relationship, after a slew of cheating allegations.

And as they reach the anniversary of this turning point, EastEnders star Jacqueline, 31, has spoken openly about putting her faith in therapy – something which she once admitted had helped “save” the relationship.

The couple, who share daughters Ella, eight, and Mia, five, are preparing for a big year ahead, with Jacqueline’s recent dramatic return to Albert Square as Lauren Branning, and they are doing “better than ever”,

new can reveal.

Sharing how they have managed to get back on track, a source told us, “Jacqueline and Dan have really turned things around. She has been very strict on Dan since this all happened and it made him realise what he could have lost.

“Jacqueline and the family are now Dan’s number one priority – he’s had to grow up fast and realise that.”

One thing which seems to have helped the couple is therapy, with Jacqueline opening up earlier this month about the importance of talking to someone.

“I think everyone should have therapy. It’s absolutely amazing. I’ve had it since I was 17. You want someone to talk to… so I’ve always been really open to it and it’s always been part of my life. I dip in and out of it whenever I need to,” said the soap star.

Echoing how Jacqueline’s openness to therapy will have a positive impact on her marriage, relationship expert Tina Wilson says, “One of the hardest things to overcome for Jacqueline will be the thought of history repeating itself and trying to trust him again.

“With therapy, she will learn to trust in a different way and be able to feel happy in herself regardless of anyone else.”

Jacqueline and Dan met at an awards ceremony in 2013 and went on to tie the knot four years later in a beautiful Cheshire wedding. But it’s not been an easy ride for the couple, as they have been subject to several reports of infidelity on Dan’s side.

Back in 2019, the former TOWIE star, 32, was accused of being unfaithful to Jacqueline and he issued an apology via Instagram, where he admitted to making mistakes.

Dan was rumoured to have had an affair with Love Island
