Following Stacey Solomon’s surprise announcement that she’d relish more babies, a source tells new how the fun-loving mum-of-five is feeling broody again

Stacey Solomon has made no secret of her love for motherhood over the years, but the busy star has now dropped a bombshell – that she’d like to expand her brood even further!
The mother-of-five took to Instagram last week to reveal to her 5.8m followers that she would “love” more kids – but a source tells
new that, well, husband Joe Swash isn’t quite so sure about the idea.
“I can honestly say, my favourite thing in the whole wide world is being a mum. I just get so much joy from watching our little ones grow & getting to be a part of their world,” she wrote in response to fans asking whether more kids were on the cards. “I would love more. Whatever will be will be” she added, joking, “But Omg I love them (Joe will be off to get a vasectomy when he sees this).”
Now, the source tells us that while Stacey, 34, would love to add to her family, Joe, 42, is stunned that his wife of two years wants a little one so quickly after welcoming their third child together last year.
“They’ve talked about having another baby, but life is so busy just now, so Joe is shocked that Stacey wants one so quickly. He hoped she’d wait a little bit longer,” said the source.
Stacey gave birth to her youngest, baby Belle, in February 2023 with Joe, and also shares Rex, four, and Rose, two, with him. Joe is step-dad to Stacey’s sons Zachary, 15, and Leighton, 11, from previous relationships.
Joe is also a dad to 16-year-old Harry, from a previous relationship with his ex-fiancée Emma Sophocleous.
Stacey was a single mum to Zachary when she first rose to fame on The X Factorin 2009 and, clearly already adoring her first experience of motherhood, gushed over her little one at the time, saying, “He means everything to me. He’s my baby.”
Of course, Stacey would go on to become a household name, meeting Joe and confirming her romance with the former EastEndersactor in 2016.
The couple tied the knot in 2022 with a lavish ceremony at their stunning £1.2m Essex home, which they’ve dubbed Pickle Cottage.
Often sharing adorable insights into her family life via social media, it’s clear to see that Stacey thrives on motherhood. However, the Loose Womenpanellist’s recent comments come after she and Joe vowed just last year “not to have any more” kids.
