It’s been almost six years since Georgia Steel was catapulted to fame on Love Island, entering the show as a fresh-faced 20-year-old looking for romance. The star, now 25, has certainly grown up since then and is back in the iconic villa for Love Island: All-Starswith a more sophisticated new look, hoping for another shot at love.

One person who has been by her side through it all is her proud mum Sharon, who exclusively tells new that Georgia is ready to settle down, but knows she needs to find someone she can trust first.

Georgia has been unlucky in love since leaving the villa in 2018 and had that trust shattered when she was scammed out of thousands of pounds by her conman ex, Medi Abalimba.

“The fraud situation really knocked her trust. It made her grow up a lot in the last five years, maybe even too fast,” explains Sharon.

But while it’s not been the easiest ride, it seems that Georgia’s luck could be changing as she gets to know a string of past Islanders, all under one roof.

She isn’t that young girl who was running around shouting any more. Georgia is really chilled, she manifests a lot, she reads, she’s more reserved and she’s a proper homebird. So I’m glad people are getting to see that.

So you’d say she’s matured?

Oh, a hundred per cent. Georgia has really found herself in the last few years and matured massively. Unfortunately, the experiences she’s had haven’t been the best, especially with the fraudster. All of that has made her grow up a lot, maybe even too fast. Being defrauded has knocked her trust in people. She’s very wary and can’t really trust anyone since. It isn’t a bad thing, because
