As ITV’s Dancing On Icedazzles audiences, we couldn’t wait to exclusively catch up with the 2008 winner of the sparkly skating show, Suzanne Shaw.

The former Hear’Say singer, 42, is glowing, as she tells us how her current health and fitness regime has seen her transform her life. The star hasn’t touched a drop of alcohol in four years and loves that she has no more “beer fear”.

The mum-of-two – who has sons Corey, 19, with her actor ex Darren Day, and Rafferty, eight, whose dad is her fiancé Sam Greenfield – says Corey may be following in his parents’ showbiz footsteps, by pursuing a career in acting.

Although she could see her lad joining a soap like she did, former Emmerdale regular Suzanne has her reservations as she says it’s “a tough industry”. Here, she tells us how she’s moved away from showbiz, why a Hear-Say reunion is not on the cards and the benefits she’s felt from giving up booze.

Hi, Suzanne! S Club 7 have reunited, will your old group Hear’Say ever do the same?

No, that’s not going to happen! We’ve all moved on and I think the time has gone too far now to have that reunion, so I don’t see it happening.

You’ve all established solo careers – Kym [Marsh] was on Corrie, and you were in Chicago and Emmerdale. Is there anything else you’d like to do?

I’m now just concentrating on my wellness company and enjoying my wellbeing – nothing in the soap industry.

You starred on Dancing On Ice in 2014. Have you been watching the new series?

Yes, it looks like it’s going to be a fantastic one.

Have any of them reached out to you to ask for advice?

I don’t know any of them, personally. I’m not very close

to any of them.

What about Strictly Come Dancing? Have they ever asked you to do the show?

No, they haven’t.

You may be at a disadvantage because you did Chicago?

I don’t know. You just don’t know with these things. One minute you’re flavour of the month, and the next you’re not.

You look fab. Do you no longer drink alcohol?

Yes, that’s right, and I’m also an alcohol-free coach, so I help people get through sobriety and help them on their wellness journey, so that’s what I do now as a job.

When was the last time you had a drink?

Four years ago now!

Wow! What was your reason for quitting booze?

It wasn’t healthy, and it wasn’t something that was going
