The Weatherfield cobbles might feel worlds apart from the likes of Sheesh in Essex, but last week ex-Corrie star Katie McGlynn, 30, went public with her love for former TOWIE star Ricky Rayment, 33.
The stars are believed to have fallen in love in October last year and were papped on a Valentine’s Day stroll last week in Essex, even sparking engagement rumours with a mystery ring on her wedding finger.
While their reps deny they are engaged, a source said, “Katie and Ricky are really loved up. They were careful to keep things low-key while they got to know each other.”

Katie isn’t the only soap star to have got together with a reality star. Step forward EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa, 31, who fell for former TOWIE star Dan Osborne, 32, after meeting at an awards ceremony in 2013.
However, the course of true love has never run smooth for these two, with Dan being linked to other women more than once. But after many ups and downs – and some dramatic splits along the way – the couple, who tied the knot in 2017 and are parents to Ella, nine, and Mia, five, seem to be happier than ever.
Only last month, Jac referred to her man as a “hunk of a husband” in a Valentine’s Day Instagram post.

He shot to fame when he won The X Factor in 2005, and 10 years later, Shayne Ward became a regular on the cobbles after landing the role of Aidan Connor in Coronation Street.
By 2016, Shayne had met and was loved up with fellow soap star Sophie Austin, who played Lindsey Butterfield in Hollyoaks. Then, by 2017, the pair were engaged.
While the couple – who share Willow, seven, and Reign, 21 months – have yet to tie the knot, the love between them is clearly still going strong. On Valentine’s Day, Shayne posted pics of Sophie with the caption, “Forever mine”.
