Just days after appearing on the red carpet together at the Hadestown musical press night, Ellie Leach and Bobby Brazier have been hit with claims that their relationship is “fake” and is purely a “PR stunt”.

Ellie, 22, and Bobby, 20, struck up a close friendship while taking part in last year’s Strictly Come Dancing. During this time, both soap stars hit the headlines over relationships with their professional dance partners. “They’re trying to keep things under wraps, get to know each other and just have fun. But these comments – including how this could be a ‘showmance’ like with Vito or that it’s fake – are causing pain.”

The source continued, “It’s still early days for them but their relationship is genuine. It’s upsetting for them to hear things like ‘it’s a set-up’, but their friends and family are telling them to rise above it and not to listen.”

Sharing his thoughts on claims that their romance is just for the cameras, PR expert Dermot McNamara, who founded Candid Publicity, argued that he doesn’t see why they would need to raise their profiles any further, adding that there is not really any reason for Ellie and Bobby to fake a romance.

He told new, “Elli
