A shock diagnosis has left Coleen Nolan reassessing her relationship with boyfriend Michael Jones amid fears for the future, a source tells new

Coleen Nolan is said to be feeling uncertain about her future with her boyfriend Michael Jones after a recent health scare has “put things into perspective” for her.
The Loose Womenpanellist, who is set to move in with the supermarket logistics worker soon, recently suffered a serious chest infection and admitted she thought she was “going to die”. Further investigation confirmed Coleen is also prediabetic.
Now, a source has claimed to new that Coleen’s health news has prompted worry about her relationship, after previous hurt.
“Coleen feels like life is too short,” a source said. “And she’s more than excited to move in with Michael, but also can’t get rid of the fear that is always in the back of her mind. Coleen worries that things could go wrong for them both.”
Coleen, 58, went public with Michael, 59, who she met on the dating app Tinder, in January 2022. But she split from him just six months later.
However, the pair rekindled their romance in June 2023 and have been smitten ever since – with Coleen admitting that their previous separation was due to her own “insecurities”.
“I was pushing him away, thinking I couldn’t deal with it. I’ve had therapy, I’ve sorted my life out and I’m very open to everything he’s providing me emotionally, and it’s fantastic,” Coleen said earlier this year.
It’s no surprise that the mum-of-three has her guard up when it comes to love, as she hasn’t had an easy ride so far. Coleen was married to Shane Richie from 1990 until 1999 and they share sons Shane Jr, 35, and Jake, 31. Their relationship was rocked after Coleen found out that EastEndersactor Shane, 59, had been unfaithful, something which he later publicly admitted.
She then married musician Ray Fensome in 2007, after welcoming daughter Ciara with him in 2001. But following a 17-year relationship, they parted ways, with Coleen saying at the time that there was “too much” dividing them.
Now, Coleen has been going strong with Michael and is preparing to move in with him, but she’s been rocked by her recent illness and is said to worry that things could take a turn.
