The couple are united as Cat joins This Morning, a source tells new

Cat Deeley’s new gig on This Morninghas gone down a storm, but one thing that remains unweathered is her steadfast relationship with husband Patrick Kielty.
The 47-year-old and co-host Ben Shephard, 49, accepted the sought-after job to present the hit ITV show four days a week when Holly Willoughby quit last year after 14 years at the helm. But despite a jam-packed work diary, it seems nobody is prouder of Cat than her husband.
A source told new, “This Morning is huge for Cat and Patrick completely understands that. He really is supporting her right now.”
Cat – who hosted SMTV:Live alongside Ant and Dec between 1998 and 2002 – has undeniably had a lot on her plate ever since she touched down on UK soil. The TV star first uprooted to the US in 2006 and carved out a successful presenting career hosting reality show So You Think You Can Dance. After tying the knot with Patrick, 53, in 2012, he later joined her and the couple went on to welcome two sons – Milo, eight, and five-year-old James.
However, after her husband and son were caught up in a gun scare, Cat decided it was time to move back to the UK from Los Angeles at the beginning of the pandemic in 2020. In 2022 though, Cat briefly returned to LA after her comeback to So You Think You Can Dance was confirmed, with the family jetting out to America during the school holidays.
Now, having landed arguably one of her biggest hosting gigs to date – on the This Morningsofa – Cat has once again planted her roots in north London. But with Patrick also looking to travel to Ireland to host long-running talk show The Late Late Showfrom Tuesday to Friday, Cat surely has a juggle on her hands.
However, according to our source, time apart and juggling work commitments could only make their relationship stronger. “Cat and Patrick both know what a vital time it is for her and are on the same page with it,” the source continued. “They are a really strong couple and have been through a lot together. They’re determined to make the relationship work.”
In the past fortnight, Cat paid a visit to New York and was spotted at Fox Studios promoting and filming episodes of the 18th series of the dance reality show. She also made an appearance on US talk show, Live With Kelly And Mark, all before catching the red-eye flight back to make her This Morningdebut on March 11, with just hours to spare.
