Adele has sparked concern among fans that she could pull out of her upcoming European shows, following a string of cancelled dates during her Las Vegas residency. And, according to a source, the 35-year-old is worried about letting concert-goers down.

The singer postponed all her March concerts at Caesars Palace due to illness. She announced she’d been advised to rest by doctors and confirmed the news on Instagram. She wrote, “Sadly, I have to take a beat and pause my Vegas residency.

“I was sick at the end of the last leg and all the way through my break. I hadn’t quite gotten the chance to get back to full health before shows resumed and now I’m sick again, and unfortunately it’s taken a toll on my voice. And so on doctor’s orders I have no choice but to rest thoroughly.

“The remaining 5 weekends of this leg are being postponed to a later date.”

However, with no update yet on the singer’s health, fans are worried she could cancel her upcoming shows in Germany. In fact, Adele has failed to sell out the tour that will see her play 10 dates in Munich in August, with rumours circulating that fans are hesitant to spend money in case it doesn’t go ahead.

One fan voiced their concerns online, saying, “Don’t postpone Munich please. I spent a lot on accommodation and flight tickets.” Another questioned, “Any updates soon? We need to plan and it’s impossible to do if we don’t have new dates. Leaving us in limbo is unfair.”

However, her Las Vegas shows are not the first time Adele, who has an 11-year-old son with her ex-husband Simon Konecki, has been forced to cancel at short notice. Struggling with ill health, stage fright and voice concerns over the years, the star is now reportedly worried about what fans will think, and it’s beginning to take its toll.

“Adele truly is a very normal ‘girl next door’, despite her global success. She’s got a lot of anxiety and is desperately worried about her tour,” a source told us. “She suffers from stage fright, she’s had problems with her voice – she’s had to cancel concerts before.”

Adele had to undergo surgery for polyps in her throat in 2011. Then, during her last world tour in 2017, Adele Live, the singer pulled out of her final two shows at Wembley Stadium due to vocal concerns.
