EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa has been open about the fact that she is done with having kids – and is very happy with the two daughters she already has.

The star was asked during a 2022 episode of The Sam & Billie Show, a podcast hosted by Sam Faiers and Billie Shepherd, whether she wanted to expand her family – and her answer at the time couldn’t have been clearer.

“No,” she replied, shaking her head. Asked if her husband Dan Osborne, who also has son Teddy, 10, from a previous relationship, might like more children, she again said no. “It’s funny because we actually had a new baby in the family and I held her and I was like – I got that feeling. I haven’t felt broody in a really long time. I’ve felt like, ‘No, no, no, no, no,’ for a really long time. And then I got that feeling – it went away though.”

However, it would seem Jac still isn’t over having the odd broody moment – if a recent snap on Instagram Stories is anything to go by. She shared a cute photo last week of her with her niece, captioning it, “My baby love. I miss having a little baby so lucky to have my little niece Lyla Rose for all the cuddles.”

A source told us, “Jac definitely feels broody when she’s holding her little niece or when she sees little babies. But it’s another thing actually having another baby with all that entails.“

Jac, who plays Lauren Branning in EastEnders, rejoined the cast late last year. And the source went on to say that, with her return to Albert Square going so well, she’s not even considering adding a baby to the mix.

“She’s really enjoying her acting – that and her family unit is her focus. And Jac’s husband Dan is in a very happy place with her – perhaps another addition to the family would cause too much stress. They’re in a great place at the moment, just loving life and being together with their daughters. They don’t need anything more.”

Clearly their days of sleepless nights and endless nappy changes are over. On an Instagram Live broadcast last week, the actress – known for wearing her heart on her sleeve on her social media – confessed, “I am always broody. How can you look at a baby and not die a little bit inside? I love babies. But I don’t miss the sterilising bottles or walking along with a pram. My kids are big enough to be my little mates
