With the infamous Wagatha Christie court case and then that bombshell Disney+ documentary, the Rooneys have been under an intense spotlight in recent years. But with news that Wayne, 38, is about to record a podcast and YouTube series with good friends and former teammates Gary Neville and Roy Keane, wife Coleen, also 38, is allegedly “worried” about the fresh secrets he might accidentally spill, a source has told new. The former Manchester United striker announced last week that he was joining Gary, Roy, Jill Scott and other football stars on The Overlap’s Stick To Footballpodcast, and now wife Coleen is concerned that Wayne might be a little loose-lipped.

“Although Coleen is relieved that Wayne has got himself a job and will have more of a routine, she’s worried about what he may say on there and get himself into trouble, which is typical of Wayne,” the source claimed.

“The podcast is with his friends and former teammates, so there’s going to be a lot of banter and teasing about all aspects of life. It’s mainly football focused, but they also love to talk about their days as players and all the antics that they got up to.”

The couple – who are parents to sons Kai, 14, Klay, 10, Kit, eight, and Cass, six – have been firmly back in the spotlight in recent years, in no small part due to Coleen’s high-profile libel battle with fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy in 2022 over the leaking of private information to a national newspaper.

The judge eventually ruled that Rebekah, Jamie Vardy’s wife, had regularly passed personal information about former pal Coleen to The Sun, and said that Coleen’s viral social media post about Rebekah being the leak was “substantially true”.

Wayne and Coleen then filmed the Prime Video documentary, Rooney and also Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Storyfor Disney+.
