Our columnist on moving house and getting her daughter ready for the prom
HEIDI IS MY PROM QUEEN
Heidi had her end-of-school prom last week, so we spent a lot of the week preparing for that.
She was blonde like me but decided she wanted to change her hair to a chocolate brown and get extensions, so we went to the hairdressers and got it all done, which cost me a bomb! Then we got into the car and she started crying because she doesn’t like it. I think it’s just a change and she needs to get used to it, though. I think she looks beautiful. We got her hair, eyelashes and make-up done too.
JUSTIN PULLED OVER
I saw that Justin Timberlake was arrested last week for alleged drunk driving and to be honest, his mugshot made me laugh a little bit. I wonder why my mugshot has never been released – I’ve had mine taken three times! I saw that Justin said he only had one martini but I’m not sure about that based on what the police have said, but who knows. I’ve met Justin once before and he was lovely, I couldn’t believe how tall he was.
NEW BEGINNINGS
We’re in our new house now and I absolutely love it. It feels so homely already. It is smaller than our other house but it’s much easier to keep on top of and just feels right for us – my nerves about downsizing have gone away.
I’ve spent the whole week unpacking and there are boxes coming out of my ears, but I think it’s looking really good.
The kids feel really settled, too. Me and Heidi have been sliding down the wooden-floored hall on our bums!
