Family fun at Cheltenham, an extra-special Barbie encounter and displays of sporting prowess were all on the agenda

KING CHARLES

Despite still focusing on his recovery, King Charles was pictured with Commonwealth Secretary-General, Baroness Scotland at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday.

THE PRINCESS ROYAL

The Princess Royal was at the Cheltenham Festival on Friday with other royals but, prior to that, on Sunday, she spoke at the pre-Global Fraud Summit reception at Guildhall in London. She called for action on the “far-reaching impacts of fraud on ordinary people everywhere in the world” as she talked about how fraud “undermines the foundations of trust and integrity”.

On Wednesday, Anne visited Greenock Ocean Terminal Visitor Centre in Scotland and toured the MV Hebridean Princess.

ROYAL FAMILY

Members of the royal family – led by Queen Camilla and the Prince of Wales – gathered at Westminster Abbey on Monday to attend the annual Commonwealth Day service. While he couldn’t attend, the King appeared in a pre-recorded video message and said, “The Commonwealth family is strongest when we are connected, through friendship. As I have said before, the Commonwealth is like the wiring of a house, and its people, our energy and our ideas are the current that runs through those wires.”

Many members of the royal family also gathered to enjoy the Cheltenham Festival at Cheltenham Racecourse last week. While Queen Camilla led the proceedings on Wednesday, Zara and Mike Tindall, Princess Anne, Princess Beatrice, her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, as well as Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank, all attended throughout the week.

QUEEN CAMILLA

On Tuesday, Queen Camilla hosted the Women of the World event at Buckingham Palace and had a good laugh when she was presented with a Barbie doll in her likeness.
