HAPPY EVER AFTER

Billed as the social event of the year, the wedding of Hugh Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster, 33, and his fiancée Olivia Henson, 31, at Chester Cathedral on Friday, 7 June didn’t disappoint.

Not letting the blustery conditions put a dampener on their special day, the newlyweds looked the picture of marital bliss as they shared a kiss in front of thousands of well-wishers who had gathered outside the cathedral to catch a glimpse of the bride and groom.

Even though King Charles and Queen Camilla were not in attendance, the Prince of Wales, 41, was there to support his close friend and serve as an usher. And, while it was previously suggested that 10-year-old Prince George – who is the Duke’s godson – would be there and take on a role as a pageboy, the young royal was not in attendance.

However, although the Duke Of Westminster and Prince Harry have been close friends since they were young – Hugh is also Prince Archie’s godfather – Harry did not travel over from California for the service.

Among the glamorous guests, the duke’s mother, Natalia, looked resplendent in a bright fuschia dress as she walked into the cathedral with her three daughters, Lady Tamara Van Cutsem, Lady Viola Roberts and Lady Edwina Snow.

Hugh and Olivia’s ceremony took place at noon and saw the groom drive up to the cathedral in style in a green Land Rover, shortly before the bride arrived with her father, Mr Rupert Henson, in a vintage Bentley.
