Wales is never less than a magical place to go for a green lane run. And when it’s your first visit since lockdown, it’s more magical than ever. We headed for Powys this month to set out a roadbook that includes several iconic rights of way. Black Yatt, Giant’s Grave, Lower Claerwen… it’s a classic. And it felt SO good to be out there again. You’ll also find tales of two very different modified off-road machines in this issue. One is a Range Rover Classic that’s been rebuilt as its owner’s vision of what the old-school model would be if they designed it from scratch today. They other is a Jeep Wrangler specced up by a man who spends more time off-roading than almost anyone else in the country. Neither is extreme, but both are all the more fascinating for it.
