Following the workshop project on page 10, this card has plenty of stippling for you to practice. An ideal card for someone who loves a day by the sea.

You will need

Your basic tool kit plus:

Pergamano:

Dorso oil A range of sizes of ball tools Wheel embossing tool Bold Straight Grid (Multigrid 28) Bold 1-Needle perforating tool Parchment scissors

Plus:

Black fine liner pen Faber Castell Polychromos pencils:

Cobalt Blue-Greenish (144) Dark Indigo (157) Light Cadmium Red (117) Cadmium Yellow (107) Purple Violet (136) Warm Grey V (274) Dark Red (225) Black (199) Dark Sepia (175) Invisible thread Double-sided adhesive tape Blue and red card White card blank

Trace

Place a piece of plain parchment paper over the pattern and with a white pencil, trace the border, waves and birds.

With a black fine liner pen, trace the greeting and the remainder of the image.

Colour

Working on the back of your work with Polychromos pencils, colour the sea and sky following the next steps.

Start with a strip of Cobalt Blue-Greenish across the whole width of the bottom edge.

Continue with a thin strip of Dark Indigo on the horizon.

Follow with a wide strip of Light Cadmium Red.

Then Cadmium Yellow, Purple Violet, Cobalt Blue-Greenish and Dark Indigo at the very top.

Blend horizontally across your work with Dorso oil.

When dry, erase the colour from the back of the lighthouse, rocks and waves.

Continue to colour the image on the back as follows and blend with Dorso oil:

Rocks: Warm Grey V

Light: Cadmium Yellow

Red stripes on lighthouse: Dark Red

Door: Black

Emboss

Using the 0.5mm embossing tool, emboss the birds.

With the 1mm embossing tool, emboss the solid lines of the waves.
