CANON PHOTO KIT TIPS

Shooting with the highest resolution Canon EOS cameras and wide lenses will capture the wealth of detail needed to reproduce your landscapes

Land scapes are by nature, full of details and so it makes sense to capture all that detail with a highresolution cameraThe highest res Canon cameras are the 50MP EOS 5DS and EOS 5DS R, closely followed by the 45MP EOS R5. All these cameras are weather-sealed for typical outdoor use. The best light over the landscape may appear as the weather changes from dry to wet and vice versa. Canon-fit lenses

Wide-angle lenses are the go to choice for their ability to get more of the landscape in the shot. For a full-frame camera there are a few choices but the EF 16-35mm f/2.8L III USM is a top choice, and can be used on EOS DSLRs, as well as EOS R mirrorless with the Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS R. At 16mm the angle of view is 98 degrees, more than double the view seen by the human eye. There’s also the Canon RF 15-35mm F2.8L IS USM. Both have an 82mm filter thread, and make it simple to fit a wide range of screw-in filters including polarisers, and filter systems with graduated neutral density filters to control and balance the light.
