Letter of the Month
Towards the end of last year, reviews of the new Canon RF 200-800mm superzoom lens began to appear, all of them rating the lens very highly and an ideal companion for Canon’s mirrorless cameras. Having just acquired a Canon EOS R5, this seemed like a marriage made in heaven and all my Christmases had come at once. I put a deposit on the new lens back in December, deliveries were expected in February… but in early May it still hadn’t arrived.
As if to rub salt into the wound, you focused on using the Canon RF 200-800mm to photograph owls in a photo project in the May issue!
Thankfully my lens arrived at the end of May (delayed due to worldwide demand), and just in time for a photo shoot booked at WWT Slimbridge. From what I have seen so far this lens is an absolute stunner for the price, particularly when coupled with my EOS R5. I’m now one happy boy. Best wishes to all the team, and thanks for a super magazine.
