– Asimple trick to creating winterproof hair is to increase the time you go between washes.

Washing hair less often means there’s less chance of hair drying out, which can cause split ends and dryness. Look for shampoos containing moisturising proteins and oils that work to smooth any frizz and add moisture back into strands.

– The transition from summer to winter can cause drastic changes to hair due to the lack of moisture in the air.

It is important to add any lost moisture back into hair with a good conditioner, look for one that promotes fatty acids and humectants such as wheat protein and panthenol.

Use this routine to keep silky tresses all year round!

– When cleansing and washing conditioner out, you should avoid using really hot water.

This can be damaging as the hot water can strip hair of natural oils.

Instead, limit the length of showers to 10 minutes and rinse hair with lukewarm water.

Taking a break from your heated styling appliances can also help keep your hair in good condition during winter.

– Getting regular haircuts is a good way to keep hair looking refreshed and healthy as it will prevent unwanted dry, split ends resulting in nourished, shiny hair.
