DOTING REAL LIFE

Emily Kathleen, 30, from the Forest of Dean, didn’t pull over for a roast dinner, she had a bun in the oven to deliver instead…

Piling everyone into the Land Rover, we headed to the nearest foodie spot.

Living in amodern cottage in the Forest of Dean, the closest restaurant to us was aToby Carvery.

Somewhere that my fiancé Jake, now 32, and Ihad been with our son Roman, now seven, on many occasions.

And this time, not only did we need to feed ourselves, but the bump, too.

Trying for a second baby, I fell pregnant after just three months in the beginning of January 2023.

‘What’s that on the screen?’ I asked, as Roman came to the early six-week heartbeat scan with Jake and I.

WOULD YOU BELIEVE IT?

‘Jake, you’re going to have to pull over,’ Iwinced.

There was no denying it anymore –we weren’t going to make it to the hospital.

‘She’s coming –Ineed to push,’ Iwhimpered.

‘Are you joking?’ Jake scoffed in disbelief.

‘NO! Ineed to push,’ Iadded. In the middle of n
