Oh! Fancy an omelette? Maybe abarn dance? Well, get down to Barry Island and immerse yourself in all things Gavin and Stacey.

Head to the spots your favourite characters loved, before tucking into apint of wine and fish and chips with extra chips –you’re in for atreat!

All aboard!

Hop on Dave Coaches’ big red bus for the official Gavin and Stacey tour. Riding the island on the original vehicle used in the show, you will have opportunities aplenty to see the filming locations up close.

The bus stops off at Stacey’s home – keep an eye out for Doris, she might steal your man – the arcade where Nessa peddles her wares and the church – the iconic location where we see the two lovebirds get married, Neil the baby get christened and where Smithy finally confesses his feelings for Nessa.

The tour has even been approved by Ruth Jones, cowriter of the show and Nessa actress – tidy!

Lasting over three hours, you can sing, dance and act your favourite scenes – the perfect way to spend a day. And on Fridays, a hilarious Nessa lookalike will be leading the way...

Where to now then?

The official tour stops down on Barry seafront, giving you a perfect opportunity to explore Whitmore Bay!

Fans may remember the iconic beach episode where Smithy gets stuck in a rubber ring and we find out Bryn is scared of the ghost train.

And with gorgeous golden sands forming a crescent beach, head down for some sunbathing, a quick dip and sandcastles.

The seafront has a sweeping promenade packed with cafés and restaurants. There are also beach huts and deckchairs for hire.

Just bear in mind, dogs are not welcome between May and October.
