Brennan Hailey Geller was hiding a troubling secret in the footwell of her car…
Despite going through hardship as a family, Brennan Hailey Geller had an incredible bond with her mother, Julie.
Born and raised in South Carolina, Brennan sadly lost her dad Mike, in 2008, when she was just 12 years old.
Going on to graduate from River Bluff High School, where she later got a part-time job as a server at Travinia Italian Kitchen and Wine Bar, Brennan, 21, continued to make her dad proud.
What a blessing you are to me. You are a beautiful sweet loving girl. I love you bunches, Brennan’s mum wrote on Facebook in 2017.
The social media site was a place where Julie and Brennan shared memories and kind words to their friends and family.
Never forgotten, always loved and remembered every day by many. We all miss you and love you so much, Julie commented about Mike.
In a secure relationship with Edwin Taylor for over a year, Brennan attended family functions, holidays and spent time with Edwin’s young nephews and nieces, too.
How had it all escalated to this?
She also started working at MUV Fitness, providing gym classes and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Only, on 3 August 2018, Brennan finished her shift early at 6pm – she was feeling unwell that evening.
And the following morning, she wasn’t feeling any better.
Attending Lexington Medical Center, South Carolina, in the early hours of the morning, doctors were immediately concerned.
When Brennan arrived in the emergency room, she was suffering from blood loss.
Only, with no physical injuries and no underlying health conditions, how had things escalated to this?
That’s when medics found that Brennan had been keeping a huge secret.
The only thing that could possibly explain the amount of blood that Brennan had lost was if the 22-year-old had given birth.
Although it was something that Brennan denied.
She hadn’t told anyone that she was expecting.
And if that was true, where was the baby?
However, with the physician quickly alerting authorities that Brennan did not have a child with her, the Lexington County Sheriff Department began a search.
They believed that the terrified mother, who had no criminal record, had given birth, deserting her newborn. Only when officers found Brennan’s car, nothing could have prepared them for the shocking discovery that they would make.
As in the footwell of her Jeep lay blood-soaked towels, scissors and a plastic bag.
Inside of the bag, strewn on the floor like rubbish, lay a deceased newborn baby girl.
