Have your say…

Thanks for writing in to give feedback on our November issue and the magazine in general. We love hearing what you’ve got to say – the good and the bad – so keep them coming!

‘Keep up the good work’

‘Hi Katy, well done on becoming editor-in-chief of a fantastic magazine. I’ve been buying Platinum for around 18 months but this is the first time I’ve written in. Having just bought the November issue and reading the star letter, I just had to endorse everything L Thomson said. I’ve read Good Housekeeping and Woman & Home for many years but they just seem to repeat interviews with the same women. There are so many other inspiring women out there, so I hope you will be championing them in future [as L Thomson suggested].

‘I also love your fashion pages as they are affordable and aimed at the older woman without being boring. I really hope you reinstate the puzzles as only recently I have tried sudoku, and the ones you provided are still challenging for me as a beginner – I also love the mixture of puzzles.

‘Lastly, I met your new columnist Heather Jackson while trekking the Inca trail to Macchu Pichu in April so I look forward to reading her column each month! Keep up the good work!’

‘GOOD TO FOCUS ON HEALTHY LIFESTYLES’

‘Hi Katy, I really enjoy your magazine and I am glad it is continuing. It’s very positive and uplifting and good to focus on healthy lifestyles rather than which diet to follow next! Keep up the good work.’ Sue

‘TOO MANY HOLIDAY AND BEAUTY FEATURES’

‘I have been buying Platinum since the start, however, for some time now I’ve been thinking that the magazine is no longer for me. There are too many holiday and beauty features, and too many celebrity and book articles. I love to cook but I don’t think the recipes are “everyday”. I buy a lot of magazines including Prima, Good Housekeeping and Woman & Home and if they have articles I’m interested in I’m happy to pay the price.

But now I’ve said that, it would only be fair to say what I do like in Platinum. I enjoy the real-life stories on how people turn their lives around; I also enjoy the home features as long as they are real homes, not celebrity
