Emma trained in printed textiles before experimenting with glass.

This December, my glassware brand celebrates 13 years in business. I trained in printed textiles at Loughborough University and experimented with glass in my second year. After graduating, working and finding a niche in splashbacks and glassware, I started my own business, founded with a grant for East Midlands graduates.

I always knew I wanted to do my own thing. While studying, I was so inspired by the designers I’d see in magazines, and I really wanted to be one of them. Now, it’s me in the magazines, hopefully inspiring others that, if you put your mind to it, you can do what you want in life.

I find inspiration for my designs in many places, especially nature. My newest collection, Woodland Walk, is inspired by a country stroll I took last year in that strange time between Christmas and New Year, when there’s time to really slow down and relax.

The new collection is seasonal and eco-conscious. We create the olive green tumblers, carafes
