CACI is a stalwart of the beauty world. The original creators of the microcurrent facial, CACI (which stands for Computer Aided Cosmetology Instrument) treatments use microcurrent wands to tone the underlying muscles in your face. The British brand has been around for 30 years and is loved by celebrities galore including Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Aniston, Madonna, Kim Kardashian, and former Platinum cover star Anthea Turner. As well as us regular women!

But although I’ve been a health and beauty journalist for almost two decades, I feel embarrassed to say I hadn’t tried a CACI facial until a few months ago. I knew about them – who hasn’t seen their advertising in local salons around the country? – but despite them even being in a salon on tiny Mersea Island where I live, they’d still somehow gone under my radar. Perhaps it was because I felt there was new, dare I say, better gadgets and technology out now. I’m partial to an LED face mask and some radio frequency for tightening my neck, and I erroneously felt microcurrent facials were perhaps a bit dated.

Well, I was pleased to be proven wrong – and to discover that CACI is very much still at the forefront of technological advancements, as their new machine not only offers the electro-current wands but combines LED light in with the toning for a stronger lifting effect.

Their latest and most advanced facial, the CACI SYNERGY, offers fast, effective, non-invasive, and long-lasting results without the need for surgery. This next generation machine is the result of 30 years of research and development by the non-invasive facial pioneers and now offers faster, better, more visible results, as shown in an independent clinical study conducted by Cutest Systems Ltd.

They compared standard CACI microcurrent facial toning with SPED®-enhanced CACI microcurrent (SPED stands for simultaneous photo electrical delivery). The study involved 25 participants aged 35-60 who had 10 treatments, after which assessments were taken after treatments one, three and 10, and then again two weeks after the treatments finished. The new CACI SPED system was found to reduce wrinkle depth by up to 75 per cent, while skin elasticity increased by up to 88 per cent.
